Karl Kleinert
Chief Operating Officer
Karl is responsible for overseeing the management of Leapfrog’s operations, finance, HR, sales, marketing, account management, and security departments. He focuses on continuing to scale Leapfrog by providing clients with the right people, processes, and policies that achieve highly repeatable and consistent outcomes. He especially appreciates the opportunity to collaborate and bring pieces together, whether internally across Leapfrog teams or externally with our clients and partners.
Previously, Karl was the CEO of IntelliNet Corporation, an MSP he led through a strategic sale to a PE-backed TPM company. Before IntelliNet, Karl worked at IBM for nearly 20 years in various sales and leadership roles and also led Lenovo’s North American Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) practice. His extensive international business experience includes being stationed in Japan to grow regional business and a partner network.
Karl credits his love of technology to James Bond. He grew up watching the OG Sean Connery movies with his dad and followed his fascination with gadgets into his first job at IBM. As his career and the industry have progressed, he’s excelled in managing the complexities and solving new problems that clients face — he suspects winning the coveted “Most Even Tempered” award in sixth grade helped put him on this particular path.
Karl graduated from Miami University with a B.A. in International Studies and gives actively to a variety of charitable causes, having served as the past Board Chair for the Cleveland Christian Home and currently serving on the Advisory Board for The Trust for Public Land for the state of Ohio and the Board of the West Side Catholic Center in Cleveland.
