Chief Technology Officer

Emmett oversees the technology solutions, technical service offerings, hosted services, and evolution of Leapfrog’s core service offerings. He also works with Leapfrog clients as an advisor and solutions architect.

Emmett was a co-founder and CTO of Virtex Networks, Inc., one of the nation’s first IT infrastructure service providers, which Leapfrog acquired in 2001. Prior to founding Virtex, he ran Computer Associates’ enterprise software training center in Atlanta where he developed his expertise at implementing and supporting enterprise management technology used by Fortune 500 companies.

Emmett is a member of InfraGard, a cooperative undertaking between the U.S. government, businesses, academic institutions, and state and local law enforcement agencies that’s dedicated to increasing the security of critical infrastructures. He has served on a special committee to help select the CIO of the City of Atlanta, was nominated for the 2014 Georgia CIO of the year award, and is a trustee and chairman of the board of Grace Scholarship Foundation. Emmett earned his BA from Emory University where he earned a double major in Philosophy and Education. He is also a graduate of the Duke University Fuqua School of Business AMP Program.
